I have had this problem for over a year now and recieved so many different creams from the doctors which really havent seemed to have helped.

it all started where i cleaned my penis to hard with a soap one night and from then on it got bad. it started out like an infection for the forst few months, pain when urinating and constantly sore.

i had tried hydrocortisones, thrush creams/anti fungal creams, fucibet, dactacourt and many more things as well as moisturising and perfect hygene.

now over a year into this and im still feeling an irritated penis. main symptoms are a rash all over the head when errected its worse! sometimes pain on urination and feels as though you need to keep urinating when only drops come out near the end. i cant beileve none of the creams have fixed this problem, surely someone knows a cream which will rehabilitate this issue please!?

i dont use soaps down there anymore or anything to irritate at all. even with all the hydrocortisones this still hasnt fixed my problem. sex i can take or leave but it doesnt feel the same anymore as its not sensitive in a nice way. i really thought over this amount of time i would have healed??

look forward to hearing from you,

thank you in advance.

what kinda soap did u use so we all know what to never wash our dicks with?

maybe you had some allergic reaction, but it shouldnt have lasted this long, maybe there is some antihistamine cream like benadryl... but i am not a dr so maybe ask your dr if its safe for the head of your dick.

ive used it on normal bumbs and rashes, i get allergic breakouts from some laundry soups, maybe the soap u wash your boxers with hurting your dick.

      hi Doug,

it was lynx shower gel but i obv went far too hard.

my boxers are washed with the same things iv used all my life and my forskin always covers the head.

thanks for the mention of the cream, ill look into it. it must be a skin infection im thinking of some sort which needs treated but how the doctors cant diagnose without a biopsy is beyond me.

Exact same issue, as do a quite a few others on this forum. No answers. I have spoken to so many doctors and tried creams and antibiotics and nowhere to go now.

Could it be sti related or have you ruled this out?

      Hi Wes,

they look scarily similar for sure! i have had lots of std tests and all come clear. its so frustrating! how long have you had this for?

which creams have you tried also?

im exactly the same my friend, heads done in. yours also seems quite inflamed as mine does but the hydrocortisones dont seem to be settling it.

after you masterbate or have sex does it really flare up? my missus has no problems and we've had sex hundreds of times so very strange for it not to be passed on if it was caught like that. dont you have a missus which is fine also?

i really dont understand how the doctors cant find a simple cream fix!

Have you seen a Dermatologist, if so, have you worked with one on an ongoing basis by returning to see them several times and trying different topical applications, or not ..... ?

So in the UK we not only have access to primary care such as GP's and sometimes specialist nurses such as sexual health.

However, there are also specialist sexual health services and the major ones of these are based in city centres.

Then we have GUM Clinics - these are most often within General Hospitals or on the same site, or can also be based in city centres.

Find the largest General Hospital nearest to where you live and check the location of the GUM Clinic (search GUM Clinic Near Me) - in the current lockdown either check their online information or simply give them a ring.

When you go to a major GUM facility you are more likely to get access to specialists such as urologists or dermatologists. You need to get them do do a visual check of what you have going on - emphasise that you have been dealing with this for sometime and that you really want to get this resolved as soon as possible.

If they suggest a referral to a specialist from your doctor ask if they are able to do this directly themselves to the specialist to save time as you really don't want this going on any longer than you have already had to endure .....
