Red Stool means Cancer?

My mom suddenly started losing weight, though in her defense she has been working really late lately and she said that she had red stool for a few days but now its stopped. Does this mean cancer? please help. she is 45.

If she's god blood in her stools she has to go to her GP (it doesn't have to be cancer). Bloody stools can mean numerous things!

Is she constipated? In pain? And was the blood only on the loo roll? Try not to worry 😊 hard I know!

The thing to really look for with the blood,, is if when it comes out, red is a good sign, it means it's fresh blood and more likely assocated with hemerrhoids. Dark blood, brownish and black.. means that it's older blood and that is usually what's associated with more problematic issues. Red is a very good sign but, it should still be checked out. As Katz said, there could be a wide variety of reasons why this is happening. Your mum is lucky to have such a caring child <3
