Red ulcer on my nose

Hi everyone. For the last 3 months or so I have been afflicted with a red patch on the bridge of my nose. It occasionally has a white head on it and sometimes it bleeds after I have washed and dried my face. I have tried applying Sudocrem which partially dries it up, although it never totally goes away. It doesn't cause me any pain, although it is sore to touch. I am on the verge of contacting my GP, but just sounding out opinion before I do so. Just a slight worry about possible skin cancer?

Any clues anyone?

    Hi John - the doc is the best place to start. If necessary he/she will refer you to a skin specialist.
