    When was the unprotected sex.

Something is severely irritating the skin on the head of your penis, or a combination of things - you should NEVER put shampoo on the upper-part of your penis - ideally the ONLY thing that should contact your foreskin and head is water and this should never be hot water either .....

If this did not show until 20-odd days after unprotected then it is unlikely to be directly related to it. How is your personal hygiene: do you shower everyday and have clean underwear everyday?

How long ago did you first notice3 this reddish appearance on your penis?

Have you recently changed the shampoo you use?

Use the clotrimazole twice daily for 14 days and see what result you get. At the same time try to ensure that the only thing that contacts your inner-foreskin and head of your penis is warm water for cleaning.

When you get in the shower ensure your foreskin is drawn forward as far as it will go to protect the head and inner-foreskin - then wash and fully rinse everywhere else on your body first.

Make sure you have the shower set to barely warn to rinse then wash your penis with - expose the head of your penis and wash very carefully, using the water only, the inside of your hand and fingers to clean it with, then ensure ALL moisture is removed using a towel that ONLY you use
