Redness around Meatus

Hello, I have redness around my meatus and maybe some of you could help me understand what it is. So I was diagnosed with acute prostatitis and prescribed antibiotics. I was using them and then this redness appeared. First it appeared with red little dots around my glans but I was using probiotics so they disappeared. But this redness around my meatus is still here for like three months now. It is not always red. Sometimes it turns into light red or even pink colour. Two urologist checked it and said that it looks normal to them but it doesn't to me. I am guessing it could be balanitis, yeast infection or maybe candida. I don't really have any symptoms with this redness. Only thing that I still suffer from is frequent urination but my urologist said that it is common after prostatitis. I have been cleared from prostatitis for like a month now. Could frequent urination be connected with this redness?

Hey Mate, i'm suffering from this too. Have the exact same Symptoms.Red meatus/tip of penis. Coffee/caffine seems to irritate my bowel which causes the urge to urinate.

I'm 3 months in with no answers from Doctors or Urologists

mine happened after receiving oral sex. when did yours start? and have you had std tests done?

No I am not sexually active, so my urologist said that we can rule out sexually transmitted diseases. I heard that antibiotics can weaken your immune system and cause overgrowth of candida that can lead to balanitis. So I am thinking it could be that but I am not sure. I had been prescribed Fluconazole by my first urologist but I am yet to take it because my current urologist said that it looks normal to him, so I don't know what to do.

Same, I had severe abdomen pain when I had acute prostatitis. It seems that it has disappeared since I was cleared, although I still have some aches from time to time. The most annoying thing is that I still have to think about urinating all the time because don't feel any relief after I pee. I am leaning towards taking Fluconazole because I tried a lot of different home remedies but it didn't help.

How did they diagnose your acute prostatitis? What tests?

Urine crop and sperm crop, they grew out the bacteria and checked abdomen area with echoscope. Digital rectal check also.

Having the same issue, been about 6 months in and out of doctors without a real answer. Have you any update?

Still having the same problems, nothing seems to be helping. In the last 2 months I have visited urologist 5 times and he can't give me a good answer why this problem is still here. I had to retest myself again but no bacteria was found. I also had my urinary tract checked again and it is also all good, got checked for diabetes, for urine ph, creatine levels all of them are good. I am just frustrated because I have that redness and a bump on my meatus but all he is talking about is my prostate that was affected by inflammation in the past. He is saying that I have that urge to urinate from it but I don't understand why then I have that redness on my meatus. I haven't done any STD tests because I was not sexually active before all of this started.

So I went to another clinic to check for 10 different STDs and the answer came back negative. I have no idea what it is and what it could be anymore. I am still having the same problems and it's been 8 months already.
