Redness cycle on penis shaft

hi, I've been having trouble with the skin on my penis for a long time now, over 2 years.

following masturbation or sexual activity, my penis gets red, like rashes on certain parts. this can become warm and sensitive, not itchy however.

i use steroid creams which help bring it under control, and emollients daily.

however the issue is that its a vicious cycle, the skin never truly heals, and only becomes red/inflamed again following any sexual activity.

does anyone have experience of something similar?

i have an appointment with a dermatologist next month, who I cannot wait to see, as this problem has been driving me crazy!
