Hi yes i have been to the docs and had different tests and nothing showed they said it was acid reflux and gave me lansoprazole, i can go so long without any systems and then it will flare up again, just trying to work out what starts it off.

Try to note what foods you've eaten that could be the trigger are you still taking PPI medication and have you tried gaviscon after meals

    Hi Sheila,

I'm suffering terrible stomach pain at moment and horrendous pain between my shoulder blades, I understand completely what you mean about feeling down

Do you take anything for the pain? Does certain foods bring on the pain in your stomach?

Not sure, scared to death I have something more serious, bouts of very painful diarhea, weird sensation in middle back and nausea, worst pain is between shoulder blades, can't imagine reflux mak8ng me feel this ill

Sounds like Gastritis, inflammation of the stomach can be brought on my GERD. Think ive had this a few times

      Hi Danny,

What way do you suffer with it, does omeprezole keep it under control for you

      Kate,

      Mine started September 2017

To begin with it only presented itself as sinus problems, dizziness and heart palpitations after foods, particularly large meals. Twice i had stabbing pains under my ribs but they passed after a few minutes. I had major fatigue and the sinus problems were driving me crazy, I couldnt work properly or enjoy my normal gym routine. Best of it no one believed me! doctors and family tried to tell me it was in my head. Had numerous scans a tests done with no answears.

After 12 months i began experiencing new symptoms such as heartburn and belching. Thats when i made the link to GERD, so I went to the doctors got some omprazole and so far been living life relatively normally. I had a camera down which confirmed a weak LES. I still get a runny nose, post nasal drip and occasional pain under my lift rib after eating. If i spend a night drinking alcohol ill get heartburn and a few other symptoms the next day. If i come off of the antiacids for even a day i know about it. I'm just waiting for the day they stop working... i've been looking into surgical options such as Stretta.

Not sure if any of that relates lol

Thanks Danny for replying. I think I'm in my 4t year now with it, I was on omeprezole for about two years and got scared of stories I heard about side effects if long term use, so I went on ranitidine 15o15o twice a day, was doing very well for ages, staying off the tigers etc, then very suddenly about 4 weeks ago was woken with worst colic pain ever in my left ribs, have been so I'll since, back and stomach pain diarhea, exhausted all the time, low mood, list is endless. Went to two doctors, one organised ultrasound scan for 2nd April, don't know how il get tru the wait. I've had many ultra scans, colonoscopies ,endoscopy etc, just praying th i s one comes up clear. The only thing I did differently was join a gym in January as I was hoping to get fit and a bit healthy, I have the dizziness and heart racing you mentioned also, especially when the pain is bad. It's hard to know what to do about surgery,so many conflicting stories. I hope you continue to feel relatively well and normal, I long for it. Many thanks for listening.

hi there incase you still suffer theese symptoms have your doctor test your stool for a bacteria called helictobactar it causes issues with reflux and cramping under rib along with stomach ulcers and many other problems can make you feel very unwell the treatment is 8 pills a day in 2 sittings for an entire week but should solve the issue if its a positive result
