Reflux H Pylori........strangest experience after lunch

Please bear with me if this is a bit long winded

I have had heartburn for years, worsening , just took gaviscon and latterly nexium. Found in last 12 months or so it was worse after white bread, pastry and a pizza would kill me, so they went. And on I bobbled with life. I will add that I also drink wine, probably too much although I do have numerous periods of abstention, and am having blood tests to determine how that is and am currently not drinking.

Few weeks ago I started to develop pain around my chest, almost like a tight bra line - this would be overnight when bra-free, would sometimes wake me and I'd think it was my PJs had ridden up below my breasts (it wasn't). Bloating - but I am overweight, always on a diet......but like my sweets, cakes, toast and jam...... Anyway, got this little niggle between my breasts,a horrid pressure in my tummy, belching more than usual, a really strange feeling in my throat, feeling a bit nauseous. Went to GP who tested for started me on Omeprazole and tested for HPylori which came back positive, so I started Triple Therapy which I am just finishing.

I have found over the course of taking it that I have had very little appetite - I have so far lost over a stone because I have eaten so little, but have drank lots of water. Had boiled eggs for supper, or porridge or yoghurt. Within 10 mins or so of eating I have had that bloated pressurised feeling in my abdomen, followed by more nausea, eventually settling with the Omeprazole and antibiotics.

Today, I have felt much better in myself, although no power in legs, but actually got hungry so had some boiled eggs at lunchtime, with toast (soldiers). Enjoyed it, but it was really short lived.

Not the usual symptoms, but instead the tops of both of my arms started to hurt (Like I had done manual work), I felt very sick, my head was woozy and my eyes felt very tired, stinging almost, like I'd been up 24hrs. 3hrs later and I have rested but still don't feel right. Has anybody experienced anything like this? Also how do you know if the HP has gone?

thank you in advance

triple therapy can feel pretty hard on the body because it kills not just bad bacteria but good bacteria. not to mention it makes your kidney and liver work extreme overtime.

Ive done it once before and i had sore muscles and bones, felt sick, often felt like i was going to pass out.

i recommend you get a good probiotic after to get the good bacteria back into your system. if you can afford it also get an endoscopy they can check for hpylori again and also check id you have any other issues like gluten intolerance.

keep in mind 50% of the population has h pylori so if it got so bad that it's causing you heartburn like it did me you might want to look into if there are improvements in your diet that you can make to prevent it coming back or overgrowth again.

in regards to knowing how it's gone your doctor can do a breathe test or stool test in about a months time.

Hi, I recently tested positive for H pylori. I am now on my third day of taking the three meds. I was tested for H pylori because I had very bad acid reflux which was causing a burning feeling in my throat every day. Have you experienced this before? This started about a month ago. It has really affected my mental health. Did you get a bitter/sour taste in your mouth when taking the triple therapy? My GP said if my symptoms return I will be tested again for H Pylori but have to wait four weeks before doing the test again. I'm assuming your GP will probably do the same if you're still experiencing symptoms to make sure the bacteria has completely gone. I've heard sometimes it requires 2-3 courses of triple therapy to get rid of it.
