Regarding paxil dosage

Hello every one,

I am new here and i have a question. I used to be on 40 MG seroxat ( paroxetine ) and i weaned my self off a while ago. However, i had my anxiety and my agoraphobia back and as a reasult i started seroxat again. Started 20 mg for 4 weeks, then upped it to 30MG. When i was on 20 I got little better from my thoughts and anxiety but then of course the increase will bring up the side effect again and I knew it no wander.

My question, sgould I go back to my older dose which is 40MG? Does 30 good enough? I mean last time the doctor just upped my dose from 20 to 40 but i wanted to know if some one got the benefit of being only on 30.

I really want to go back to work i have been off since Dec 28th.

I hate waiting game with ssri

Thank you all

Has your GP suggested you go back onto Paxil or are you using old medications ?.

Did you tell your GP when you came of this drug.

The reason I ask above is talk to your GP and take His advice. Sometimes returning to the drug may cause further side effects. I used to take this drug and I had no real problems, just some people seem to have had problems on their return.

When it comes to these medications we are all different, I took Seroxate for quite a long period and had no problems, they took me of this medication at introduced Citalopram and I have had no problems over the years

      Hello BOB

Yes doctor suggest to go back to the drug as he said the drug helped you before and he is willing to increase the dose to 40 on 28 of jan ( after few days ) as he was cleared we have to go back to the same dose. But i dont want to go to that dose because i need to go back to work soon and if i increase my agoraphobia will be worse because of the side effect. Thats why i ask

      Thank u

Good luck on your return to work.

I am a Pensioner and now do not work, so any side effects I suffer only last until Lunch Time
