Regarding Sertraline (Zoloft) Have been on Sertraline for 15 years or so. Have taken 100 Mg daily for past 8-10 years, recently increased dose to 150 MG. for last 6 months.

About 3 weeks ago, started with a slight tingling on right ear lobe which has gradually moved down right jaw, right side if the neck and now into top of right shoulder. This "crawly" slightly tingly feeling occurred just occasionally at first. Currently, the tingling has been more frequent and stronger- occurring several times per day.

ANYONE ELSE with this experience? PLANNING TO CUT BACK DOSE FOR A WHILE. I HAVE DONE VERY WELL WITH THIS MED , but want to address this problem- & to be sure this is not a neurological event starting up. THANK YOU for your input!

Every time I increase my Sertraline dose I get increased anxiety. The "crawly" feeling is horrible, and I experience mine on the lower back of my head, along with a pulsing vibration. I really believe yours is due to the increase in your dose. Anxiety is such a powerful emotion, and can cause a huge list of real symptoms. Ask your doctor for something in the short-term to diminish the anxiety until your body adjusts to the medicine. I do not think yours is a neurological event, as this started with your increased dose. Keep us posted on your progress. And it's GREAT that Zoloft has worked so well for you for so long.

hi 😃 unfortunately I have never increased and never had the crawling feeling so I cany help 😦 but I do apologise. I'm on week 15 nearly 16 very up and down still. felt good about 2 weeks ago and then the intrusive thoughts came back and raceing thoughts are back. I was wondering how long it took for you to feel better on the meds? because I'm feeling like it's not going to work and I'm.never going to be normal again 😦. but good luck 😃 and I hope you find a solution to your problem 😃 stay strong!!!

Ryan, what is normal? please dont think of yourself never feeling normal, you have feelings you cant help, for whatever reason they started, but it doesn't make you abnormal, you just need to find a way to cope, that's why you got help and medicated.

my sister is epileptic, she is medicated so she doesn't have seizures, some of us just need some help, it doesn't mean we are not normal, when you realise something is not right and seek help, that's awesome!! good for you.

Sweatywill, I have been on sert for years too, I do get tingling, crawling feelings when I change my dose, I also get a pinch in my neck that causes a shock like feeling and pins and needles down my arms, only seconds but always happens when I change my dose!!

can I ask you if you have been told you need to stay on it forever? I have but I wonder why?

people always say to me they were on it, hated it then just came off it, I wonder why doctors tell me to always take it?
