Sorry, I don't have an answer but will be very interested to see the replies to your question. I'd also like to

    know if anyone's tried hypnotherapy.

Hope you don't mind me muscling in on your question.

Not at all, work away. I had reiki yesterday and had better sleep but so tired and dizzy today and wondered if it can make you feel like that.

Hi Guys, my motto is take what you can when you can. I have had reiki and it didn't help me, but I am very happy you got a benefit. In my humble opinion the sometimes dead--tired feeling is the other side of the anxiety coin. Once we've used up all our adrenaline being anxious we crash out. It wasn't till I got some meds that I was able to break this cycle. Re hypnotherapy, IMHO it can be helpful to build your self confidence, to reinforce your inner voice etc. Unfortunately not everyone is able to be hypnotised. Interesting though. David.

    What's meds helped your anxiety?

Well, sorry to sound a bit tough, but here it is : no alcohol, limited sugary food, limited coffee, Mirtazapine and Venlafaxine. I can say from personal experience that it is very important to stop drinking. Sugar and caffeine just hype us up and it can't be good to drink coke if you are anxious as you are feeding yourself with over-the-top stimulants. These changes we can do, but the prescription meds were necessary for me as well. The Mirt is great for settling me down at night, where I used to sleep only an hour at a time and wake up on full alert. Now my role model is my cat. smile
