Relapse

Hey all,
Sorry for posting so frequently the last few weeks. Really going through a rough time with relapse. Feel like I have the flu: body is hot, chills, no fever, sore throat,, head feels fuzzy and I’m having a hard time thinking. Back aches, neck aches, head aches.
I am so anxious and feel so worried. For some reason I have an awful feeling and I fear feeling like this. I so badly wish I had a positive mono diagnosis... I would be so much more ok with all this if I knew it was a part of mono. 4.5 months now and I have no idea what’s wrong wit me, no doctor does. Feel so alone and scared.
I am thinking of you all, I know we are all facing our own struggles and battles. Hugs

Hi Van,
There's definintely no need to apologise for posting on the site, that's what it's here for and I'm as glad I found it as you are. I totally understand why you are feeling that way Van, I get it that it would be more reassuring to have a mono diagnosis and then you can rest a bit more knowing this is the cause. It definitely does sound like mono or a mono-type virus for sure from everything you've described, and you've done all the right things by the sounds of it with vitamins and seeking doctors, etc. You're doing everything you can, and take heart that nothing else has been found which means that it certainly could be mono or something very similar causing this.
Just remember that it takes time Van, 5 months can still be relatively early in mono recovery, as I say it was 9-10 months before I started to feel much better. Praying it will be quicker for you, but remember you WILL get there and I trust God completely that you will make a full recovery. Thinking of you and remember just cope with one day at a time, dealing with your emotions on top of the physical symptoms is so hard, you're in my thoughts and prayers and I believe you will get there with time - I truly 100% believe that Van.
Take care and be kind to yourself,
Craig

Hey van,
i didn't have a positive test either, I was also past infection to mono. At 4.5 months I was still in the thick of it, it wasn't until 12 months that I had a good leap forward. It will get better and you will be fully recovered, it just takes time. I'm at nearly 15 months and would say nearly recovered fully but not quite.....just keep taking it easy you will, get there,
caroline xx
