Relapse cycle

Hi all,

First of all: I hope you're all doing well and I wish you all the best for 2020.

I'm almost 8 months in and I'm currently having a relapse; it started around the 19th of December, after 2/3 weeks of feeling pretty good for the first time. I know a relapse can be 'normal', but I wanted to ask if you recognize my cycle. My relapses take about 2-3 weeks most of the time and they start mildly. I begin to feel a bit unwell and this builds up over the 2 following weeks. The last 3 days and especially the last day of my relapse are the worst. I feel very sick, take a lot of painkillers, but I am still very achy. It feels like I have a really bad flu, especially the pain in my muscles is unbearable; the muscle twitching also increases.

This is the second time it happened (last night), and it is also the second time that it looks like this evening marked the end of my relapse (I hope so, last time it was the same).

So my question is: when you relapse, is there one day you feel especially bad, and do you feel as if this was the end of your relapse the next day? It just feels as if my body is done with the relapse and is fighting super hard against the virus on the last day, followed by the virus becoming dormant/inactive again or something. I find it a bit hard to explain.

Best wishes!

I am at 22 months. My relapses were occurring every 3 weeks. Those relapses were rough... body aches, severe fatigue, night sweats, brain fog, headaches and occasionally strep and bronchitis. It felt like one week would be more intense than the other.

I started seeing an Immune Specialist who had me get some vaccinations because of the constant strep and bronchitis, but also has me on a list of daily vitamins and anti-viral medicine. I have been doing this for roughly 4 months and only relapsed once. My relapse now is very mild.

My blood work reflects my immune system is getting stronger...just slowly doing so.

Thanks for the reply Stacie. I'm glad you're doing well! An immunologist might be a good idea, thanks.

hey, I do feel worse towards the end of relapse. My immunologist have me on some immuno modulators and I do feel very fluish on them, which just means its your immunity working. Remember, symptoms are "always" caused by the immunity, not the pathogen itself

Hey Lob, thanks for the reply. What does your immunologist say about this? Do you need medicine that decrease your immune response, or is it good that your immune system is active?

no in fact Ive been on immuno boosters , or more like immuno correctors(boosting low and decreeasing overactive immunity) but I had too strong reaction everytime. Its not good to play with immune system if not necessary, because strong and weak are very relative. But my tests do show my immunity is kinda down. Shes having me on this thing that gives you non specific immunity from bovine. its called transfer factor and its very immunocorrrective. Its even used for thinngs like lupus and autoimmune diseases as well as deficiencies.

I think if I knew what I know now, how to act with this virus, I would be healthy in the first year. Hopefuly in a year im okay
