Relapse into depression and anxiety after 6 weeks

I started Venlafaxine 6 weeks ago, 75mg per day for three weeks, then up to 150mg per day for the last three weeks. The third week on 75mg I felt better, then plummetted again for the first two weeks on 150mg - much as expected, the literature says it can make things worse for 1-2 weeks after raising the dose. Sure enough, after two weeks on 150mg I started to feel much better, and I really thought I was getting on top of things for about three days - but after about three days of the third week on 150mg I started feeling really down and anxious again, and it seems to be getting worse every day. I didn't expect this, and it's really thrown me, I just don't know where I'm headed with this. I know it can take 6-8 weeks to start being effective, but I really didn't expect to be seemingly going backwards. Anyone throw any light on this? Had a similar experience? I really need some reassurance right now!

Hey Mike. Stick with it as it will get better. I just started on V again after trying other AD's cause i was lead to beleive they werent working anymore. I find this stuff to be like a roller coaster until everything levels off. You will feel better but you have to give it time!!!!!!
