Relapses + Anxiety

Hey guys, I’ve been having small relapses here and there about once everh 4 weeks. They are less intense and shorter each time, but still frightening. Usually, my relapses consist of shortness of breath, chest pains, spine feels on fire, fatigue, and chills. Also it’s hard to think... like I wanted to call a cab but it took immense effort and planning to do such a simple task.
Does this sound like a typical thing to experience? I am month 4 now.
I don’t know if the shortness of breath is from anxiety? I don’t feel anxious like I would feel quite ok and then just get strange shortness of breath that can last from an hour to the whole day.
Thanks guys.

From everything I’ve read on here, it seems normal - I’m in month 5 and feeling pretty similar, except not so much with the spine on fire and more of side pains and cold symptoms.
I can tell you that the shortness of breath I’ve experienced with mono is markedly different than what I’ve experienced with anxiety. I know everyone’s different, but mono has felt more constant and painful, and involved other symptoms... whereas anxiety for me has been more uncomfortable than painful. It’s hard to describe.
Sending you healing thoughts.

Hey Van,
I do think what you're experiencing can be normal with mono, you've had such a hard time of it and I can relate to that from my own experience. The fatigue and chills were there all the time with me, I had pains in the chest / upper abdomen area I think mainly from the glands in there, it is normal to have some pain in the upper abdomen especially I think due to the glands in there.
With me, I think the anxiety and stress just heightened and emphasised the symptoms even worse, shortness of breath may be panic but with these things it's definitely best to get checked with the doctor. It's understandable if it was because the stress of the virus is so much and it took me almost to breaking point too it was so tough.
Remember Van the symptoms at this stage are by far the worst - this first 4 months are the worst and the intensity lessens as time goes on - you won't have to go through anything like this period again and even if it still takes a bit of time to recover, you wlll get there 100% and will get back to full health again and even before then to a stage where the symptoms are not as intense and live is more liveable again.
Thinking of you man and hang in there - just getitng through each day is an achievement at that stage of the virus believe me I know for sure - and you will get there, remember just give yourself rest and time and relaxation / distraction, although I know it's hard to switch off when your mind is racing.
You WILL get there Van - having been through it myself and experienced similar symptoms and emotions that feel like they are never ending - let me assure you that they will end and recovery will come in time - hang in there and thinking of you.
