Hello ~

I've been sick for almost a week now and finding I'm extremly anxious and cannot relax.  I try to do deep breathing but it's not working.  I've been vomiting and nauseated, so they give me "reglan".  It states on there it "could" cause vomiting or nausea...wth!!

Anyone, help?

    Hello Frustrated,

A further comment on pelvic floor exercises

When lying comfortably the cycle of long contraction relax is very good at sendin me to sleep. I was going to write that the cycle of short contraction is not so useful but now I must confirm that it is efficaceous too as I have just woken up from an incompleted cycle of short contraction.

So I must now recommend the whole exercise as a method of relaxation.

Doing the exercise stading or stting is not so relaxing.

Well, after all the "fight" in trying to better my sleep habits, I finally did get a refill on a script that most often allows me to sleep soundly.  The biggest regrets of it is that until I get used to this medication, I sleep all day and all night.  I mean I do wake up from time to time and eat then back to sleep again.  It cannot be helped.

I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart with all your wonderful info on relaxing.  I've made many changes because of what you've written to me and then the added medication, it is all good!

    Again, thank you!

    Warm regards,

Hi Frustrated, I hope you get a really long sleep and make a start in establishing a proper refreshed base from which to begin a day.

Since you are now talking pills, it must be OK  to talk of strategy for using doctor's pills and herbal remedies. The effectiveness of all of these falls off day by day. To countereact this tendency, rotate doctor's pills and herbal remedies so that each has its full effects each time you use them.

a report i read from wddty what doctors dont tell you com  has warned that long term using of sleeping pills can cause  dimatia  . the longer and more often you use them the greater the risk , so take care . maybe use them to get into a good sleep pattern , and then maybe try other ways . i also find hypnoses cds work for me. i have aspergers and fibro so double wammy when it comes to sleep problems ,so ido understand what its like ,

i cant sometimes sleep at night for weeks then i fall asleep in the shower, but iv up my b12 and back using my discs and seem to be getting back to normalish ,well as normal as any of us can be with fibro haha

      Tiswas ~

Thank you for that information.  Of course, not all doctors tell you of the long term effects that a drug can play on you.  Demetia runs in my family so I guess I don't need to speed this along with sleeping aids.  I will take them for maybe one or two more days to adept to a sleep pattern then stop  them and see how that goes.

And I hear you regarding "normal as any of us can be" lol I hear you completely!

      Hey Doc ~

That's a good idea to rotate them.  I was thinking of cutting them in half and take a half one day then the whole another but I'm thinking your way sounds a bit more on the stable part.  So melatonin, here I come! smile

A few weeks ago I asked my GP for help with sleeping. She smiled with such sweet reasonableness and gap me a note with Nytol (diphenhydramine) and another over the counter aid. I had the distinct impression I was not to be trusted with real sleeping pills. Some troubles settling into hormone therapy were a likely cause. So I accepted the note with thanks. I did buy Nytol. I also bought tincture of chamomile and tincture of skullcap. I rotate these three with nothing at all on many nights. I have not had success with melatonin. I know others sware by it.

I hope you find some useful help and no long term bad effects.

apparently learning a new language taking up something completly differant or a new skill of some kind  ,opens up new path ways in the brain and reduces the risk of dimetia . we use so little of our brains , some meds apparently increase the risk of scaling . talk about brain fog , i couldnt see out of my glasses yesterday thought my eyes were getting bad, turned out they needed cleaning . god i need a new brain now, hahah
