Release of fluid from pancreas, help !

Posted , 1 user is following.

I had my first pancreatic attack back in October and since then I'm constantly having that dull annoying ache in the upper left part of my stomach, under my ribs (in fact I think I've had three days in the past few months pain free).

I've cut back on foods in general and I don't drink alcohol.

The last two sudden attacks I had have had the same symptoms. The dull aching feeling in the centre just under my ribs and slightly to the left, gets worse over a few days. Then I get an immediate pain, (mid centre under my ribs), which I can only describe as a gush of fluid that releases and burns like hell. The pain is excruciating and I find myself doubled over trying to get some relief.

The attack lasts about 20 mins, and in this time I've had paracetamol and morphine to take the pain away.

Has anyone else had this experience?
