Relief from bowel symptoms due to endo

Hi.

yesterday I had my first laproscopy. Endo was found on and removed from my right ovary.

since waking I have had some surgery pain but none of the pain that I have been dealing with over the past 18 months, during that time I have had extreme diarrhea every single day, which has also not happened yet (yes, early days I know!). I was also given a mirena at the same time.

I am currious, for those who had experience bowel symptoms with your endo, what form of treatment brought it under control, and how long did it take to see results.

the dr did mention that my bowel looked very inflamed, which after what it has been through I am not suprised, so am curious as to when I could hopefully see some solid (no pun intended) results.

i will also mention that i have had extensive gastro investigation whith no answers.

thanks!

Thanks so much for the reply. Did you find it took your bowels some time to "calm down" and start acting normal again or was in fairly instant. I feel like mine are trying to do the right thing but maybe dont know how to do it anymore, if that makes sense?

It took a few weeks for things to settle but I don't know if that was getting over op as that has opposite effect. I'm only 6 months since op. Thankfully that is one symptom that I no longer have. My main thing is I'm pain free so far 😊
