Remission

I have a question, has anyone ever gone into remission? This site quotes 2 or 3 years before remission; and my RA has decided that I've had PMR since 2011, that's 5 years. Just curious.

    I went into remission for three months after 3 years , my Rhuemy put me back on 2.5mgs daily after my ESR went fro 7 to 21 in four weeks, I was dreading getting up in the mornings and wasnt sleeping, could actually feel as though it was creeping on again, Will see how I go for a month and get a bloods test before I see Rhuemy again in 6 weeks

      I am so sorry Beatrice.  I totally understand that dread/anxiety about getting up in the mornings.  I still get it and I can 't wait to lie down at night!  But fight on!  I would write more about myself more personally but not in this public forum, so remember 2.5 mgs is a v low dose and you are doing great girl!

    YES! I still visit these forums just to say that! I went about 19 months on pred, gradually reducing. I continued to improve after that, and am still improving in strength and energy. It feels so great to feel normal again.
