Remission periods

Hi! I was just wondering how often people have had remission periods from LS and how long have they lasted? I have had the condition around 2 years and had one period of remission that lasted around 6 months and I have to say its the happiest 6 months i've had in a long time. This disease is slowly, mentally killing me

DEAR CHE- I have been in remission since OCTOBER and sincerely hope that it lasts forever! From the start of symptoms in MARCH to diagnosis in JUNE, I drove myself crazy with any little tingle, itch, any difference " down there". Luckily it was summer and I was only working 2/4 jobs so I could focus on me. Once summer was over, I was back to my regular schedule and didn't hv time to think about it or worry about it every minute. I kept moisturizing, watching my diet, taking my supplements, following the DR.'s orders for steroid use and got back to living my life. THE ARCHITECTURAL changes and loss of clitoral sensation are not going to change, so there is no use worrying about that as well. I let LS run my life for 5 months , but no more.

Please don't let this mess with your head, learn to relax, re- focus and take it one day at a time.
