Removal of mirena coik

I’m seriously considering having my coil taken out for good. The five years is up this May. My mood swings are up and down, breasts can be very painful for at least a week a month, low sex drive and most importantly I have gained so much weight. I’m not sure if that’s the coil or not though, I hope so!

Just wondering if anyone else has had the coil out and if it’s improved sex drive and weight loss? Thanks

I’ve just had my Mirena remover after 9 months! It made me feel so unstable, no sex drive and I had some hair loss as well. Not to mention some serious anxiety issues. Obviously you’ve tolerated it much better then me, but since you’re at the end of the length it’s said to remain in your body, I’d say remove it and try something else. I feel an improvement and it’s only been 9 days! I lost weight while using Mirena but I’ve read so many stories of women not able to until it’s removed. We are all so different when it comes to synthetic hormones and how we might react to them. Good luck!
