Removed a mole and now I have a permanent scar

hello, I had two moles removed 8 months ago, and i had stitches inflammation in one of them, the other was fine, my dermatologist injected it with cortisone, and gave me "scarmed" gel that I use everyday, but the scar is still there, my doctor said it should fade in a couple of months but nothing yet.

I'm afraid why it was inflamed in the first place, is it that the needle wasn't clean? should I make any tests?

and how long would it still be there? I wish I didn't have it removed.
