repeating pnewmonia

I have had pnewmonia 3 times this winter and I have had the same for the last 3 years. I am 51 years old trying to get in better shape. I am really frustrated. Any suggestions?

    That must be really horrible. I think I never had pneumonia..

    However, maybe a background on you might explain why you're getting it?

    I would say your immune system is not working well?

    I think the more you post about yourself, the better we can help...

    Hi Eddie sorry you have been so sick. You should go see a really good pulmonolgist I think he or she could most likely answer a lot of your questions with the proper testing. I was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis 9 years ago I had numerous bouts and bronchitis and pnemonias before being diagnosed. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

    I probaly will set up an app with A pulmonoligist. I had chemo 3 years ago for hodgekins lymphoma. My doctor at Wake Forest said my immune system is fine. That is why I am confused with getting sick so much. My wife has cleaned our house spotless. Just confused and aggrivated.

      Eddie do you live in Chicago?? Also are you coughing a lot even when your not sick and do you have an excessive amount of mucus? So if you live near the City I have a great Dr. At University of Chicago if you need a really good pulmonary Dr. He is amazing.

    My daughter is a nurse and she is coming today to tell me the best stuff to eat as she has studied  things for years about nutrition  but I carnt seem to put videos on here that will help people if anyone wants  to see them

    Have you hade the vaccine for pnumococle ? and do you have the flue jabs every year ?

    I got A pnewmonia shot at walgreens last year. I do not know what kind.

    eddie, be sure to discard any issues

    Check with a pulmonologist, ENT and gastro to ensure you have nothing there.

    Besides that I would say that even if the immune system is fine, you have been going thru a lot treating your lymphoma and your body might still be weak..

    It has been over 2 years since my last chemo. My doctor at Wake Forest said my immune system is fine according to my bloodwork. I just do not understand.

    I read before. That's why I suggest that you check with doctors whjat could be wrong. Also, maybe your habits?

    Food, life in general. A description about yourself might help too!

      Me and my wifemake do on my disability check from uncle sam and her pay check. At times we struggle keeping up her 35 yer old son that will not work. That is another discussion, We try to buy healthy food. I gained alot of weight after the chemo was over. I had read that most of my meds that I take have A side effect of weight gain. I feel like I am fighting A losing battle. I appreciate everyone careing.
