RePlens question?

can you use replens everyday on the outside of the vaginal area? Here lately I think it is making me irriated and itchy at times. Ive also noticed at times that there is this white junk on the outside and inside some. Is this normal for RePlens or do you have a lot of discharge with AV at times?

The dryer the tissue the more replens sloughs it off.. I tried that before I went on estrogen cream and I was literally pulling globs of gunk out.. and it wasn't doing a bit of good for me except constant itching and yeast infections. Some have really good experiences with it, unfortunately I didn't.

I also used estrogen creme for awhile but heard it can cause cancer, so I stopped. We do what we have to do for relief. Vaginal dryness is a terrible feeling and I thank you for your input as we woman need to help each other.

According to my doc and doing some of my own research the amount that gets absorbed into the blood stream is like the equivalent to 2 doses of oral HRT in a year. I don't have a uterus so my risks on that part of it are nil.. I have a history of fibroids and family history of breast cancer but the benefits outweigh the risk for me.. I'd fight hard if I was told I couldn't use it lol. Because of my history oral HRT is out of the question for me.
I tried replens, lubes, coconut oil (which I still use from time to time) all to no avail. Was put on Vagifem and something in it caused leg cramps then was put on Estrace Cream, 1 gram nightly for 2 weeks then 1 gram twice a week, I'm now down to half a gram twice a week. My gyno gave me the ok to use as much or as little as I need. Since getting my tissues back in shape I'm pretty much back to normal and my bladder is very happy.
I hope you gals find something that works for you!!

I put Replens inside my vagina for burning dry relief, yes safe to use as needed since Replens has no estrogen. I rub some organic coconut oil on the outside of my vag for itch relief. This works for me. I started taking 2 softgels by mouth everyday of Sea Buckthorn Omega-7 oil I bought the SIBU brand because it's organic herb supplement that moisturizes from the inside out. Also good for dry eyes, dry nose and mucus membranes, strong nails & hair. After a month of taking Sea Buckthorn my vag dryness has greatly improved and I now use Replens about once a week. I finally have some relief from that terrible dry burning itchy vag. I'am enjoying life again.

I have also used Witch Hazel to help with vag itch on the outside. Put some witch hazel on a gauze and tuck it on the outside of your vag for like 15 minutes. Or you can wipe Witch hazel around your vag, this helped me a lot with itch. I then switched to organic coconut oil on the outside of my vag and that worked too. I was trying everything organic or natural and hope this works for you too. Us women need to help each other because I didn't get much help from my doctor.

About discharge, yes I did get that. We are so dry that when we use the Replens vag moisturizer the discharge is your dry vag skin discharging like dead skin falling out and Replens is helping restore moisture and new skin. I read this from the instructions that comes inside the Replens box. The discharge which is your dry skin lining will soon stop once you build up natural vag moisture. Don't give up.

I use aquafor daily for dryness relief, it works well without additional irritation. coconut oil irritates me but works well for others.

Thank you for sharing, I'am always open on what works for us women. The more we know what others have tried and it worked gives us all hope. Thank you for the estrogen information.

about a year ago there was another discussion on this very thing and we all kept in touch for ages but have a new 'phone and as yet haven't been able to reconnect but will eventually. Most if us agreed the only thing that really helps this condition is estriol cream or similar cream. my doctor said the amount of estrogen in it was so small he would have a job finding it in a blood test. it does work I was at my wits end at one time but seem to have no problem now.
