request for advice on alphosyl shampoo

I have dandruff problems in my scalp and my doctor has prescribed alphosyl shampoo after inspecting my scalp. I saw the shampoo is an alcoholic extract of coal tar. But I have heard alcohol in shampoos is bad for hairs. I am not sure whether I should go ahead with the medication ? what are the risk ? thanks for any help ..

    I would think that curing the problem with your scalp would make your hair grow stronger and better. So even if the shampoo were to be a little harsh on your hair, in the end you would not only be solving a problem but perhaps making your hair stronger.

    If you are not sure about using this shampoo then take a second consultation. It will clear the confusion and fear of using this shampoo.
