Request for Forum User Feedback

Posted , 27 users are following.

Hello,

We recognise that recent changes to the forums have not worked for all users. Therefore, we are now planning an update to improve users experience of the forums. As part of this we are requesting that you please add your requests or ideas that are your highest priorities as a reply to this discussion.

Once we receive a suitable number of suggestions we will put these into a survey where users can then vote for the change(s) they would most like to see in the update. Once we have the results we will do the required changes and share these with you for any comments before we release to the site to ensure we have got it right.

There are some things we cannot do such as removal of ads as they fund the site, reinstate emails for every post and reversion to old format of the site. All other constructive suggestions to improve the forums will be considered.

While we may not be able to do everything that is suggested in this update we will take note of users input in deciding priorities.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Patient

      Hi Laura,

We have noted feedback about the push notifications and emails. In the meantime:

You can still check for new discussions at any time. They will appear on your forums homepage when signed in or at the top of the list on the group pages you are a member of. As these pages are dynamic they will go down the list and off these pages as more replies are posted in other discussions. However, you can go to your notifications page (link top right on all pages on desktop, top of page in mobile) and all new discussions will be listed in unread status at the top of the list until you either click the link or mark them as unread.

All replies will also appear on the notifications page.

      Regards,

      Alan

i joined this group to hopefully discuss similar issues that ive been having with other people but having a difficult time doing so. I suffer from anxiety and have recently for the last week been suffering from

constantly having to take deep breaths. i dont know what im feeling anxious about. This deep breathing is just happening and it wears me out. Makes me tired. Ive been taking an Ativan everyday for a week and it helps for maybe a few hours. i wait to take it until I cant stand it anymore. im getting really tired from it and dont know what to do

One of the major changes that I would like to see is a posting of the DATE OF THE ORIGINAL POSTING included in the posting. The date of the most recent reply is not so important but if I'm trying to answer someone's post to offer help I don't want to have to find out at the end of it that they posted 6 years ago! so it is now probably totally irrelevent to them! Please change this.

    AND

does anyone actually look at the replies to this post? Is there a moderator? And if so how often do you look at this post? and do you ever get around to answering them? or doing anything about the suggestions? at all?
