Research into Insomnia

Hi, I am a media student and currently making a short film where the main character suffers from bursts of insomnia brought on by stress. The last thing I would want is to portay this condition incorrectly, therefore I am asking if you would be willing to share how insomnia makes you feel and act. Anything posted in this thread may be quoted in my reserach folder that will be purely for education use and will not be published anywhere else on print or online. Thank you so much!

Anxiety, paranoid, fear of death, rapid heart beat, brain zaps to name a few. It's scary. Family, friends, community and doing what you love is the cure.

Insomnia is the result of an imbalance in one's life.

Life with little sleep makes you feel so ill shaky anxious. I say after a few days of it I feel like a zombie. Hard to concentrate every situation feels weird almost like you are dreaming. You are just not present.

Your head is just not there. Cooking a meal I will have to keep in mind things are hot as I'm inclined to forget the oven gloves.

Then I worry, is this bus driver feeling this way because he is suffering insomnia? Surgeon or air traffic control etc. You should be signed off work if there is any danger to others because you spend days on some half there auto pilot and the longer your insomnia goes on the worse you get.

I have nothing to be stressed about but adding that to the mix would make things even worse in my opinion.

When I first had this it wasn't so bad a few days here and there but the longer it goes on the more the lack of sleep seems to catch up and make you feel so ill.
