So, I read this research out of CHINA, "Microsurgical Epididymal Cystectomy does not Impact Upon Sperm Count, Motility or Morphology and is a Safe and Effective Treatment for Epididymal Cystic Lesions"...

I have a big painful epididimal cyst which I would like removed. I do not see this surgery mentioned on any urologist's website anywhere.

Do I have to go to China? I called the Mayo clinic and they said "send me your medical records". I asked them ten times if they have success like the chinese do and all I could get, after much prodding on the phone, is a secretary to say "yes" with no elaboration. I was not very convinced.

Anybody in the US had a surgery like the chinese have?

I have cyst too, among other issues, and looking to have entire epididimitis removed along with micro denervation procedure. Med professional told me the scar tissue can be as large as cyst and can be painful even once removed. Check out denervation procedure.

Keep looking and don't give up. There are a few drs in U.S. with this speciality. There is one in Chicago. Dr Levine.

Keep us updated. We are a small group here it seems!

Thanks gg, I will look up Dr Levine. Have you any ideas on what makes the cyst larger or smaller? Like I notice that in the Fall I notice it more.

Did you take a look at the research out of china I posted?

I have more pain during the winter months too, and think it is because I am sitting more, less active etc. But my issues are more than cyst (4 mm) and has not specifically talked about so probably not my place to give you advice here.

Have you had a MRI or CATscan? You may want to print out the article to share with men's health/urologist specialist.

Other members here, who are specifically dealing with this problem can probably say more.

      Thanks for sharing the article!

Yes i have had scan. I agree sitting aggravates it. Walking is better than biking.

      you are welcome.
