Resisting a panic attack?

I am fully aware that resisting a panic attack makes things worse.

In my mind, I am not suppressing it or trying to avoid it. But when I do have have heightened anxiety or panic I try to relax my body if I can. 

My problem is this, the amount of adrenaline in my system is a lot. Which I understand, but, I get fidgety. Like I have to be moving to get rid of the adrenaline. If I fidget while panicking, is this resisting? I find it incredibly hard to relax while my body is geared up to run a 5K.

    I don't think figetting is resisting panic, because it can be a symptom. If you feel that restless, does it help to go for a little walk? I almost always sit as still as I can until it passes but maybe that is a mistake and I should be using up that adrenalin and distracting myself by going outside and moving my body...

      Yes. It’s all that adrenaline in my body. So I fidget instead of running out of the situation or place, I have to move in some sort of way.

      I heard if you sit still during a panic attack it is resisting because you are not allowing your body to shake, tremble etc..

      This is quite possibly why my panic attacks get so bad then, that's interesting.

    I always get up and go for a walk outside or to the bathroom, wherever, when I'm starting to feel panicky. This seems to help a lot.

      That is what I usually do. I was just wondering if that would be resisting a panic attack.

      I've actually never heard of "resisting a panic attack"? I've always read in self help and anxiety books that it is good to get up and move/distract yourself when facing panic symptoms.
