Restarting Citalopram after withdrawal

Hi all,

I have been taking Citalopram 20mg for just over 3 years. Just lately we have moved house, had a lot of decorating going on and have a baby on the way. Anyway, because we have had a lot going on I have been a bit rubbish at taking it and was late in putting in my new prescription. I started to get withdrawal symptoms about 3/ 4 days after my last tablet and have now been taking my tablets again religiously for about 9 days. However, I feel like I have started all over again. Anxiety in the mornings, shaking, feeling sick, tearful- all the things i felt when i started taking them for the first time. My question is, has anyone else done this, and did the side effects last as long as they did the first time you went on the tablets? I realise this is completely self inflicted and I will definitely not be making the same mistake again!!
