Has anyone been able to restart lexapro without any side effects? if so how did you do it and how long does it normally take to feel better?

i remember for me it took months especially to get over morning anxiety.

Hey. i've been taking it for about a month now, obviously when taking anti-depressants, the side effects are always different for everyone. For me I had completely no side effects other than feeling drowsy which was fine for me, my GP had told me that with this medication you're less likely to experience bad side effects compared to a different medication such as Sertraline which is quite a powerful anti-depressant.

I honestly think you should give it a go, my GP recommended me to start off with 5mg for a week and after that, move onto 10mg. It helped me a lot for the first month when it came to my anxiety and depression, but now I am starting to feel down again, hopefully that won't happen to you, that is just my experience with the drug.

Good luck and hopefully this will work for you and remember to not be scared about taking it 😃

Sertraline 'strong antidepressant' 🤔 I wouldn't agree, depending on how much being taken. I was on 50mg was good for first few weeks, then massive anxiety and panic attacks! I am now increasing to 100mg, dr said this is still a 'low dose'

      Hi Jackie

Not good! im having terrible side effects . Woke up at 1.30 am heart pounding and tingling in armd like a burning feeling and sweary palms. Took a quarter xanax managed to sleep again then woke at six in same state! Couldnt get out of bed until about 10 oclock. just sat downstairs and read and really tired.

i called my doctor but havent heard back yet. Is this normal on 5mg of lexapro. ? Dont remember it being this bad but then it was six years ago, since my last lot and that was citalopram.

felis...sorry to hear your not too good, maybe not been on them long enough or need higher dose. Not heard of your meds in uk? I was on Citalopram, but now on Sertraline 50mg. Was doing ok, but around 3 wks started getting worse and panic attacks. I was increased to 100mg 2 wks ago, so been on them for 2 mths now. Still feeling anxious when I'm not keeping busy, but better than before. I just can't understand how, when we are on meds, but could be worse I suppose....
