Resting Pulse + more questions

Posted , 4 users are following.

For me this is potentially the most worrying thing about Hiatal Hernias.

1) What is your pulse rate during rest and when lying down?

2) Did you know what a Hiatus Hernia was before you had it? How long did it take to figure it out?

3) Does it seem like Hiatal Hernias are something that's not well known in the UK even though they are common? Is it difficult to get the right help?

4) Have any exercises helped you? Or have you found any good chiropractors in the UK?

5) Do you get Sleep Apnea?

Thanks for answering the other questions BTW!

    Hi Falkor,

My resting pulse is very very slow, about 40.  Is yours slow?  I did not think this was related to HH.

Had it 3 years and it still surprises me with new symptoms.

Docs not helpful, just give ppi's.

Losing weight and keeping fit does help a lot. Try to keep to an alkaline forming diet.

I just read a book "Coping Successfully with Your HIatus Hernia" by Dr Tom Smith. (On Amazon).

Very informative, if a bit technical, but I learned a lot.  So now have specific questions for the doc.  It includes all types of HH and all complications.

    P.
