Have had restless leg for 45 years at least. Had tried everything over counter plus perscriptions last 15 yrs have been on Requip. Than last year I was up to 2 a day. Sometimes it would make the systems start instead of keeping them aray. Finally, decided to talk to my Dr. about what was happening. He immediately sent me to a sleep specialist. He put me on Neupro patch. I have been on it for 6 mo. and am doing great. Such a relief. 1 every 24 hrs.

    I was in the neupro patch for a while and it worked great, just go careful because after a while they really irritated my skin. 

    It blistered and itches like mad.

    Hi Carolle, are you in the UK? Is Neupro prescribed in the NHS?

    I have been using these patches for about 3 years and they are something quite special. They completely changed my life for the better. Yes you should take great care in where you apply them it’s possible that they can burn you skin . I’m happy to live with the burn to keep the RLS at bay,   There are odd days when they appear not work. I cut one in half and put this one as well and It does the trick.one those days. I hope they keep working for you forever unless of course somebody fiends  cure..................good luck with the patches in the future!

      It seems it's available through private prescription but I don't know whether it's available through the NHS. This is some info about the patches https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/product/6576.

      i will talk with doctor when i order my ropinorole and see if he can be persuaded to let me try the rotigotine patces. It could take a few weeks.
