All textbook reactions to start-up my friend, and yes, in a majority of cases, these subside. You do need to give this drug a good 12 weeks for such symptoms to clear, if anything persists after that, it will be time to go back to the doc...

I had upper GI issues, and I gave it 4 months before I threw the towel in, but they simply didn't go away, so it does happen, but don't quit until you have given it a fair trial.

yes this will subside. I had the same thing happened to me when I was taking that. My skin was a little hot but it was the agitation they got me. Just remember that this is temporary. Drop your shoulders take a deep breath let it just go through. Like water flowing over the rocks in the riverbed. Just let that anxious feeling just roll right over you. Don’t hold back or try to resist it it’ll just get more agitated. So if you can welcome it in understand it’s not gonna hurt you and let it just happen. You’ll be ahead of the game. I’m on 37.5 mg zoloft And I feel the same way right now. Agitation can really be frustrating. Better days are coming have faith. May God bless you and watch over you. We all need His help everyday.

I tried escitalopram, 5mg... not bad at all the first 5 days... the night of the 6th I awoke with an anxiety attack... not a HUGE one... but bad enough to take a Alprazolam to calm things down. I stopped.

A few weeks later, I tried again, this time with a 2.5mg dose... and the next day... felt crummy... stopped again... the day after... I still felt really crappy.

I am hyper-sensitive to almost all meds... and maybe I am a wimp... but trying this stuff mostly for low level anxiety... and having a side effect of anxiety... for anywhere from 2 weeks to several MONTHS... is just a non-starter... I could take Xanax or Ativan daily, I suppose... but that eliminates working out (for me) and I just sit like a log... and I have a fear of becoming addicted... I read it is a bear to get off...

I have also read a ton of really bad stuff on SSRI's... from them not being any more effective than a placebo... to them wearing out in about 2 years... to horrible withdrawals... jeeze!!

I am considering alternatives... but am now pretty paranoid of any "mind drugs"... though I am considering Kratom...

    Thoughts? Advice? Thx!
