Got my antibodies results today.... thyroid peroxidase antibody 684 IU/mL

Negative <60

Equivocal 60-100

Positive >100

Does this definitely confirm Graves?

    This antibody test if positive (and yours is) suggests that the cause of your thyroid disease is autoimmune such as Hashimoto's or Graves. The definitive antibody tests for Graves antibodies are TBII or TSI or TRAb and for Hashimoto's it's TGAb.  You will require more antibody testing to determine the type of autoimmune disease you have.

      Hi Linda, Could you kindly elaborate what are TBII, TRAb, and TGAB? I have only done with TSI and thyroid peroxidase antibody.  Thanks

    Thank you Hun, I'm seeing endo tomorrow so will find out more and hopefully they will do more tests x
