Results are in for Abdominal US

Posted , 1 user is following.

My ultrasound showed a “Complex cystic structure measuring 4.7 x 4cm with multiple intrinsic septations and mild echogenic nodularity along periphery. Findings may reflect prominent hemorrhagic cyst, although follow up evaluation is recommended in 4-6 weeks to ensure resolution. If not improved, evaluation with MR could be considered for better characterization.”

Am I safe to wait 4-6 weeks? Interestingly enough, my pain is on the left side, not the right. And it’s not excruciating pain by any means...it just comes and goes. Feels like a stitch type pain. They could not visualize the left ovary well transvaginally, but stated it appears “grossly unremarkable transabdominally”.

Any words of wisdom? Should I be pushing harder with my GYN about this or wait 4-6 weeks? 🤷🏼???
