Retinal Detachment

My husband suffered a detached retina a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately it had been detached a few days before it was diagnosed the surgery was done to preserve the remaining vision not restore the vision he lost.  He is recovering but finds it difficult to read, watch TV or concentrate when on his iPad. He was told not to drive, his review appointment is not until the end of the month. Does anyone know how long it will be before he can drive because his job involves driving. Many thanks

Sorry to hear they waited with surgery for 2 days. Mine was done the same day

it took surgeon 60 min. to do instead of the usual 20 or 30 min.

After a year and a few months it's still blurry. I'm told it could improve.

I'm just thankful my other eye is ok after cataract surgery. You have to give it time to heal. Hoping everything goes well for your husband.

    Take care
