Retinal detachment Surgery Aftermath

hi, so i just wanted to know if anyone had similar experiences.

my husband recently had a vitrectomy done for retinal detachment surgery. The detachment became noticable after he got a sharp pain which subsided a few mins after and then he noticed a dark /black /blind spot in his right peripheral vision which kept growing. Anyways, after visiting the specialist and getting the surgery done almost immediately after, he was told to posture due to the gas bubble they put in his eye. About two weeks later, he noticed a dark spot on the left of his peripheral (same eye) along with some floaters, some what appeared to be bubbling and lots of flashes on that side which eventually moved to the entire eye (or so it appears to be). we went back to the specialist clinic but the doctor there said they cant assume its another detachment because hes still in the healing process. Third week in and the flashes are much worst and the spot appears bigger. we are going to the specialist again tmr, and im hoping and praying it is not a another detachment or something worst .

Has anyone who did retinal detachment surgery, got another detachment on another part of the eye after the surgery? were so scared and hes been just so depressed and anxious. Im running out of ways to help him cope beside telling him everything will be okay
