Retrograd4e Ejaculation

Hello All

I was cleaning out some of my files and come across this information again. I figured I would let you all know about it just in cause it happens to you and your not happy. I know I have done this once before but there may be some new guy's

Let me explain first what the Mayo Clinic said about it. "" Retrograde Ejaculation "" Is when the semen enters the bladder instead of going out the penis. During sexual activity sperm from the seminal vessels enter the urethra near the opening of the bladder.Normally a muscle blocks off the entrance of the bladder, and the semen is expelled out of the penis.

However the corning action of prostate surgery cuts this muscle as it widens the neck of the bladder. After surgery the semen take the path of the least resistance and enter the widen opening of the bladder. It is not harmful and only needed to have kids. So when you are older most doctor feel it is not necessary. But that is not the doctors choice to make that decision.

Most men find little or no different in the sensation of orgasm or sexual climax. Although it does take time to get use to having retro ejaculation. ( I don't no about you. But I had it and it suck. And if there is no change what do you have to get use to )

They have been working on trying to get retro fixed if they can. They have found out that in some cases taking Pseudoephephine ( it is in Sudafed ) will improve the muscle tone of the bladder neck and keep the semen from entering the bladder. But taking this you have to be careful. But it is something you can look into if you what to try to fix it for a little while. I do not know how long it last or if you have to take it every day. I would think if you have sex every 3 day they take it that day.

I hope this helps the men that do not like retro ejaculation. The Mayo Clinic do say with any surgery that has something to do with any sexual function you should talk with a counselor before surgery and after surgery to help you deal with what changes that is going to happen with your body. This is very helpful because you will be going through a adjustment period.

Take care and God Bless................Ken

Thanks for bringing this up. RE (retrograde ejaculation) was miserable for me. I had a kidney stone and the urologist put me on I think it was Rapaflo but don't exactly remember. I do recall though the first time I had an orgasm while taking this and it was a WTF moment!

For me RE almost totally killed the enjoyment of my orgasm. On a scale of 1-100, before I had BPH, I would rate my orgasms at about 90 on average and maybe 98-99 when a really great time with my wife. BPH really impacted the ability of my sperm to come out so it was down to about a 50 normally and maybe 60 on a good night. I didn't realize at the time initially I even had BPH and thought it was just some reaction to my kidney surgery for my kidney stones.

I was on put on Rapaflo (not 100% certain) to try and flush the stone naturally. Long story short it didn't work at all hence the surgery. I was in too much pain for sex anyway. After a LONG recovery time after surgery, finally had a chance for intimacy again. Still on Rapaflo as they weren't sure they got all the stone as they had to break it up to try and get it out as it was way to big to pass.

Finally the big moment came for an orgasm post surgery and I would rate it as maybe a 2 out of 100. I was ready for the big finale and it was like building up to a big sneeze that you just choke off and nothing happens. I tried a few more times over the week and same feeling. Went back to the uro and he said it was a common side effect. I stopped taking it immediately.

It took a few days to leave my system. Finally had a chance to be intimate again. This is when I realized there is something wrong going on down there. Orgasm was better but the sperm seemed to barely dribble out of the end of my penis. I thought maybe things were just a big clogged so to speak and would be a bit better after a few times. Long story short, it didn't and that is when I went back to the uro to see what was wrong. Thought maybe he scarred the urethra or prostate during my kidney stone surgery. That is when I got the diagnosis that I had BPH.

So now I am determined that whatever treatment I have will have a limited change of RE. I had PAE done for that reason instead of other options. Might as well cut off my penis if I have to live with RE for the rest of my life. It was that bad for me and TOTALLY ruined sex.

Before you have surgery where RE might be the outcome, take one of the BPH drugs or flow treatment drugs where that is likely a side effect. See if you can live with that miserable sensation. I might as we be a eunuch as to live with that as a side effect!!! It was really that bad for me. If a urologist didn't tell me that RE might be an outcome of a procedure and then I had it, my reaction would be pretty severe to put it mildly.

      Thank you my friend

To many doctor tell you that you don't need it or all will be the sameBefore I had my Urolift I was put on Flomax & Rapaflo. It sucked. The built up was there but when it hit. The orgasm was flat and no feeling at all.

That is why I had the Urolift 100% no side effects. Yes you have to research any procedure you are going to have to see if you can deal with the side effects.

      Have a good night...Ken
