Return from hospital nagging cough

I was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday September 28. the reason I was in the hospital was because I had gone into dka and was vomiting steadily for many hours it eventually became Bloody and acidic. I left the hospital on the 28th with a sore throat and a few hours later at home I started to develop a annoying cough. my question is do you think the cost is probably from the sore throat or do you think it's possible I could have caught something from the hospital which one do you guys think of the more likely scenario?

    Never say never, at the same time it seems to be effects from the vomiting. You have bacterial and acidic issues in digestive system.
