Returning to work

****had a triple arthodesis middle of august.

i am 8 weeks out with no weight bearing.

next Dr appointment i will be put in walking boot and starting PT. I work at UPS and will be going back to work during Peak time. Has anyone have had issues being on their feet for long periods of time? Ive talked with my Dr on my fear of going back and then having a set back.

    I honestly don't think you'll be going back full time at a job like UPS, especially during peak season!

    In a walking boot you might be able to handle part time, but having PT first is a must with this type of surgery. Your surgeon is the one who will release you to work when the time is right and as long as you have pain and concerns I can't imagine he/she will release you to full time.

    They will say its all up to you and your comfort and pain level.
