Revision needed on left TKR after only 5 yrs

I’m sitting here so mad,  my left knee has a Loose part after only 5 years , so it’s going to have to be totally redone.  Well guess what now my right knee has a stabbing pain in it so I have to go to the orthopedic June 19 to get another x-ray to see what  is wrong with this knee . I am so mad this knee was only done 3 years ago!!!!   To go through this all again is unbelievable I’m gonna try to wait as long as I can .  I mean I can walk OK but pain keeps me up at night, sucks so much . Going to try to hold off one year if I can unless I have an infection in the right knee😑😡

    If only we knew all the things that do go wrong but are left untold, we might have not gone through with It. I know i would not do it, knowing what I know now

      I agree, I put it off for years now thinking it’s over and behind me ,  I’m staring it in the face again!  And to think after 2nd knee I was doing so well Dr said I was like the poster child for knee replacements!!! Now here I am I’m going to be 63 on Sunday and looking at this again. I work full time and really want to get all my bills paid before I retire in about 5 yrs! Now another round of medical bills🤨

    So sorry to hear this for you , what a nightmare , I hope it’s sorted out for you but it’s a nasty op at the best of times let alone having it done again. Best wishes and let us know what happens

      Thanks Jenny , yes I’m so afraid of having to do it all over again 😪 I’ll see what Dr says about 2nd knee Tuesday!!

      Thanks 😞 I will know more on 2nd knee Tuesday but the way it is hurting it can’t be good news

    recovering 5tkr iz horrendous. saw surgeon. yday. i wkng be sble to use stairs leading with left leg again .righg knee and hip need replacing too .worrued isng word

      That is just awful !! Why so many ? What went wrong ? Is right knee a new one and you have had 5 on the left? That’s dreadful for you , Didn’t realise till on this forum how many go wrong .
