Revision surgery on previously done bunionectomy

I had my bunionectomy operation last August 2018 but unfortunately my bunion returned after a few months. My surgeon says that the procedure was under-corrected last time so he will slightly over-correct it when I am ready to have a revision operation. I have osteo-arthritis in my feet anyway which I am sure didn't help. Has anyone else had a revision operation and was it as painful as the original procedure, in their experience? Thank you.

I dont have any experience with this but I dont think over correcting would be the right choice. How about just doing it right? I'm currently having major hammertoe problems and just want my foot fixed right. no guessing or maybe's. Just do it right. Sorry for my rant. Good luck.

Lol know what you mean. The surgeon's already done my right foot with a slight over correction and so far, it looks good. All my best wishes for a good result for you, let us know how you get on.
