Rezum Procedure 8-1-18

I just had the Rezum procedure. I am 52 years old and have had problems getting up 3xs+ a night to pee, with not a lot of production. I am coming up on the 5th day of a Foley catheter.

The big question is what is it like coming off the catheter?

Day #11: I continue to struggle with frequency at night (my original issue). Before the procedure, the frequency has brought on insomnia issues as I have been bad nights where I get up 6-8 times at night. (Better nights are like 4-6.) Last night was one of those nights of mucho frequency. I have been using Lorazapam and Ambien to drive my body to get some rest in between voiding. I am hoping in the next several weeks as healing sets in that the frequency will go down and I can get off these sleeping drugs. (I am taking Flomax (prostate) and Diropan (bladder) daily.)

The positive is that I during the day, I can delay the urgency thereby building up more bladder capacity.

Before the procedure, I was walking 9 miles a day. Any insights how much I should pull back from this given I am only 11 days from the procedure?

Dont expect any improvement from your original baseline until Sept. and most will occur 9/15-11/1.
