    Hello syedq51,

Yep i'm afraid to say Methotrexate will do this, i have stop the them now, but at the time, time only did i feel ill all the time, my pee turned yellow and so did my skin over time, but when you come off them all will return to normal. I am now on Biological injections which i self inject once a week , so no need for them now. It was a long process to find the right balance with me as my RA was very aggressive. I was in a wheel chair at first with one hand culed in to a fist, and pain like i have never had before. My RA is under control with Predisanol and Rhoactimera, but i still get pain attacks and stiffness all the time, and walking distances and standing too long is still a problem, it takes time my freind and i hope you are making good progress i am now in my 27th month of living with RA and the most usetting thing for me is how i miss my long cycles, and my time in the gym, but i am now more mobile and more active but i know i will never be the same. But i am a lot better than i was so i should be greatful for the great team at the QE hospital , and my Ruemetologist who is the best in the country. I am not sure of you progress or how you where in the begining , but let me say it takes time, and they will find the right balance for you, and i am sure you will be off the methortraxate soon. Andy.

Thanks. Actually I have been suffering from this disease for for a long time may be more than 15 years.Swollen joints e.g. wrist, knee, frozen shoulders so much so that even I could not open my room door or use the ignition key to start my car, Two years ago I contacted a rheumatologist who examined me, After many lab tests and xrays he wrote a prescription. He prescribed predinsolon 5mg also but since it affects the kidneys and lever, I used it with precaution. In case of severe pain only, I take it because its a steroid medicine so mainly I take methotrexate once a week 12mg dose and Plaguenil 200 mg one tab. daily which is good for swollen joins. It stops inflammation in the joints but may be it is affecting my skin which has turned greyish on my face and scalp with dark patches on my forehead, I dont know may be it is due to these medicines, If someone has any experience or knowledge about it please share it with me. Thanks
