Rhinoplasty gone wrong

Hi, i had Rhinoplasty about 4 years ago. The surgeon put a "shell" over the bridge to his discretion and since the surgery i have lived with sich a terrible sensation at the tip of my nose that it hurts even if fabric touches it. There is also a small lump on the side of the bridge that looks like a little rock under neath my skin and my nose is wider than it ever was id say dye to scarring. I tried within the first 12 months to get an appointment with the surgeon but they were always cancelled on his side. I dont know if i just have to live with it now as i cant really afford to pay for another one or should i be approaching the surgeon again. I actually feel worse now than i ever did and hate the way i feel and look

    Hi Barb.

I would definitely keep pestering the surgeon! If he has messed up, he should put it right. x

I can't comment on the medical / cosmetic issue since I don't know what was done and haven't seen the outcome. However, if there are significant  problems after surgery your surgeon should really see you. The question is if this is a normal complication or if it is due to negligence. As I said I can't comment on this. My personal suggestion would be to first settle this with the surgeon by getting an appointment. If three appointments are cancelled from their side, I would then get a second (and possibly third) opinion from another expert. If they think this is an expectable complication you might have to accept it. If they think this was due to poor practice / negligence you could either get back in touch with the surgeon and demand this to be sorted out at their expense or go down the legal route. I would also mention this in the correspondence if any more appointments get cancelled and set an ultimatum by which you expect to be seen prior to seeking legal advice.

Hi i'm sorry about your experience, i also did a rhinoplasty but i chose to do it in Romania, firstly because i wasn't so good with the money and i chosed to trust the concept of medical tourism, and i started to research all my options all over Europe and a friend of mine reffered me to a travel agency in Romania, Cluj Napoca, the employees at the agency helped me with the plane ticket, hotel (wich wasn't expensive but it was so nice and luxuriously) but what i loved most was the fact that they don't have wating list, in two weeks the doctor explained me everything trough skype and telephone and soon after that i arived in Cluj Napoca, an employee from 99 Med Tour helped me with the hotel and a car was asigned to me to drive me from the hotel to the clinic, for the rhinoplasty, if you need more infomation about the trip and the doctors or the agency, you can ask me and i'll try to answer everything, i hope you will find the courage to resolve your problems and feel beautiful with yourself.
