RIB pain???????

Hopefully, someone can help me out on this one.

I was helping a friend out and was on my knees reaching across a wall to cut a pipe that was in his way. I felt like a stabbing pain in in my right rib cage more to the side and close to my chest/breast, this was 2 weeks ago and it is still there. Not when I lie down but if I turn to any side I feel the soreness, no bruising but tender to touch any ideas?????

Also I didn;t bang or hit my side off anything.

I did something similar about 7 weeks ago. I had a LTHR on Aug 10 and I was trying to move in bed following those darn precautions and felt something snap on my right side. I started having muscle spasms the next night and have been in pain since. I had an x-ray and bone scan. So far diagnosis is possible fractured rib.  The surgeon who did my hip replacement has ordered a thoracic and hip MRI tomorrow to see if she can figure out what's wrong. She doesn't think my rib  should have fractured so easily. She wants to check to be suremy hip isn't causing the problem. I'm praying it's not that.  I am 68 so maybe an issue with bone density? I hope to get an answer soon. I've been to ER twice already looking for some kind of help. I've been told 8 weeks to months for it to heal if it is a fractured rib. I hope your pain is resolved soon andolino. It's frustrating to be finally feeling better in the hip and have to deal with pain that's just as bad.
