Rib problem (with pic)

I had a car crash over 3 years ago. X-rays showed nothing, but after 2 years of pain I got an MRI that showed a fracture. Shortly after I had an operation to fit 2 plates and 26 screws to secure my sternum.  Still in pain. 3 years after the accident, this March, I got to see the doctor again. Beginning of June I had a CT scan.  Still waiting for an appointment with the doctor for their opinion.  I attached an image I created from the CT data (on the NHS you can get this on CD for £10).

You can see the plates and screws, however, whats up with the 4rd rib? It looks to be pushing on the 3rd rib.  From the cross sections (not shown) its also pressing into my lung.  Anyone seen this before?  What would you call this?  What could you do to fix this? Google not showing much.

These are excellent questions for your doctor! I hope things go well for you!  Are you in the UK or USA?

I'm in the UK.  After a few weeks of mithering, I finally got a letter from the rheumatologist.  They said they couldn't see anything, other than the sternum injury, that could be causing the pain.  I'm not happy with report, so I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow.  I've printed out some of the CT slides and also copied the CT data to my tablet, along with an app to view it.  Its probably a cardiothoracic consultant I need to see.  Hopefully the one I saw in Blackpool, who fit the plates to my sternum. He was very good and the hospital was great.
