Ribs...!

Hey everyone,

I am 27 years old, 5ft 5' and I currently weight 7stone 3 pound.

2.5 years ago after the birth of my first child my partner and I went to go for a run.... I made it approx 10-20 metres and said mygosh I think I have a stitch! That pain persisted and got worse until at 5 k I just couldn't do anything. Had to keep stoppping constantly. The next few days after that the pain was not good, I walked 20 mins downhill and every step it felt like a bone was stabbing through an organ or something it was unbearable. I stopped. Burst into tears and called a taxi.

I didn't do anything for a couple weeks incase it was a pulled muscle. When I did any cardio it would start again so I stopped it and went to weight lifting and normal paced walking. Cardio would start the pin and it would sometimes go to my shoulder blade at the end where it meets near the top of my arm.

I had my second little girl 6 months ago.... did my weighted hoop the other week and it started again..! I'm not unfit, I walk a lot and run around after these 2. I used to do an awful lot of sport. I tooo my daughter to one of those tranpoline parks, a sport I used to do properly, I bounced for a couple mins and had to stop!! I wasn't no out of breathe, it was just the pain. Final straw is being late for my daughter today to pick her up so I walked quickly from the car (it's about a 2-3 min walk!!! About 400 metres) and I got it then?!?!

Is this runners stitch??? Is it possible the birth of my first child put something a bit out of place? Surely I would notice that all of the time though. I want to do some sort of cardio but I can't. The pain is in my right hand side, feels like it's in a gap between my ribs a toddler the side/towards front. I have no idea what rib, maybe 3rd one up from bottom? One below bra line maybe? It will feel like a stitch but a lot lot worse and sometimes will go to my shoulder too (this may not be related?). Doesn't happen at any other time.

Thanks

To be honest when it wasn't first happening I thought maybe I'm unfit after having my firSt baby so just got stuck into weights instead and forgot about it and I kept thinking I should go each time I got it when I did cardio stuff but then would forget about It as once I've stopped it stops. Silly really, I'm ringing tomorrow! X
