Rifampin birth control and periods

i am on 4 month Rifampin course for latent TB i am also on birth control 1 month in in got periods ( eventhough i usually dont get periods due to pill) the periods were 7 days and painful now 10 days later bleeding and pain started again why am i getting period so soon ? i have 3 months to go on rifampin i cannot go next 3 months with bleeding and pain . anyone went through same and have any tips for me ? thanks !
